About Weston’s Dairy Festival

Weston’s Dairy Festival was originally born in the 1960’s and was a regular feature of the town’s summer programme of events and drew thousands of people to the seafront each year but it’s been over two decades since funding was withdrawn and the event had to be scrapped. Now though, thanks to some enterprising dairy fanatics and the support of local businesses, the festival is back and we hope it will be bigger and better than ever with a combination of live entertainment and an array of stalls featuring local produce.

It is partly because of the Mercury we wanted to bring the festival back – we saw the past pictures of the festival 50 years ago. We have support from numerous local businesses. There will be people making cheese and yoghurts, some big manufacturers are getting involved and will come along and show their wares.
